Terms of Service

Bookjara is a product of SkillSeeds Enterprise Limited, a company registered in Nigeria ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using the service you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use it.

Bookjara gives salons, barbers, nail technicians and similar businesses their own online booking page, a dashboard to manage bookings, staff and services, and tools for taking booking deposits. We provide the software. We are not a party to the services your clients book from you.

You must give accurate details and keep your password safe. You are responsible for everything done through your account.

Business owners are responsible for the team members they invite and for what those people do in the dashboard.

Each business is responsible for its own services, prices, opening hours, availability, cancellation notice and the quality of what it delivers. Any dispute about a service is between the business and its client.

You are also responsible for the client data you collect and store through Bookjara, and for using it lawfully, including under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023. See our Privacy Policy for how we handle that data on your behalf.

A business can choose to take a deposit when a client books. The business sets the deposit amount. Deposits are processed by Bachs, our payment partner, and are paid out to the business.

If a client cancels within the cancellation notice window set by the business, the deposit is refunded. Outside that window the business's rules apply. Refunds go back to the original payment method. Payments made by bank transfer may need to be refunded manually, so they can take longer.

Payments are subject to Bachs' own terms. We do not store card details. We are not responsible for delays or failures on the payment provider's side.

Bookjara is currently in beta, and the Growth plan is free during the beta. When paid plans start we will tell you in advance and show the price before you are charged. Payment processing fees charged by Bachs, if any, are separate.

You agree not to:

• use the service for anything unlawful, fraudulent or misleading
• send spam or abusive messages to clients or anyone else
• try to break, overload or gain access to parts of the service that are not yours
• upload content you do not have the right to use
• resell or copy the service without our written permission

You can stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or puts other users at risk. Where we can, we will tell you why first. Bookings and payments already made are still handled as described above.

We work to keep Bookjara running and accurate, but it is provided "as is", especially during the beta. We cannot promise it will always be available or free of errors.

To the extent the law allows, SkillSeeds Enterprise Limited is not liable for lost bookings, lost income or indirect losses, and our total liability to you is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

We may update these terms. If a change matters, we will let you know in the dashboard or by email. Continuing to use the service means you accept the new terms.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and the Nigerian courts have jurisdiction over any dispute about them.
